Is The Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Active Still Good in 2022: Phone Review

Many people are scared to get a phone that hasn’t been released in the last few years. There seem to be many misconceptions about how powerful these phones really are. Although the S6 series of phones are a bit on the older side, you can find them extremely cheap online and it sure looks appealing when you are on a budget, so let’s look into whether the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, and S6 Active are still good in 2022? Let’s find out.

What is The Galaxy S6

The Galaxy S6 is the fourth generation of Samsung’s flagship phones. It has a metal frame and a glass back that looks stunning. The phone was released in April 2015 and boasts a 5.1-inch Quad HD display, an Exynos 7 Octa 7420 processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB of storage, a 16MP rear-facing camera, and a 5MP front-facing camera, and a Non-removable Li-Ion 2550 mAh battery.

This was yet another win for Samsung, as this phone was bought and used by millions of android users. The phone also featured a sleek design with a unique glass coating along the entire frame of the phone. Although this sometimes led to the phone cracking easier, it still looked very unique and was different than anything we had seen up until that point.

The S6 is a great and cost-effective option, the S6 Edge is the best-looking screen and uses less battery power, although it is more susceptible to screen breaking, and lastly, the S6 Active is an S6 phone that can be tossed around, as it is built to be durable.

The S6 Edge and S6 Active are two special editions of the S6. They boast the same processor and amount of RAM. They even have the same amount of storage. The real differences between these three phones are the screen, the battery, and the camera. The S6 Edge has a Super AMOLED display, which is stunning, but the S6 and S6 Active have an LCD display. The differences are negligible, but an AMOLED display uses less power than an LCD display. That’s why the S6 Edge’s battery is smaller than the ones in the S6 and S6 Active.
